Weekend WorkshopsJoin CuriOdyssey to dig into the science of the world around us. How long can a top spin? How do we keep CuriOdyssey’s wildlife engaged with their surroundings? How do plants and animals survive life at Coyote Point Recreation Area? These are some of the questions that our weekend workshops will be trying to answer. Workshops take place on the 2nd Saturday of the month October through April. Register now for this up close and personal science experience designed to inspire excitement for science and passion for asking questions about the world around us. All workshops take place at CuriOdyssey. Workshops have recommended ages. Parents are welcome to join their children in workshops or can drop off their children at the beginning of the workshop and pick them up at 12:00noon. Afterschool ProgramsA unique science club for 6th-8th grade students. Activities are designed to engage students while exploring natural phenomena through science and the outdoors. Learn about animals, energy, earthquakes and more. CuriOdyssey educators will respond to the students' inquiries and input, structuring the club around their needs and interests. Students will certainly enjoy the authentic hands on science as they also develop critical thinking skills important for their future. NOTE: Program is full. Science Explorers3-4 year oldsDoes your preschooler love to explore, ask all types of questions, and get excited when discovering something new? Then Science Explorers classes are for you. Each session features a different science theme and includes activities that spark excitement and ignite curiosity. Our professional museum educators provide distinctive investigations of science and the outdoors, preschoolers will utilize their natural skills of curiosity, observation and discovery. We keep our group size small to provide an up close and personal experience. Your child is sure to get excited as we play with prisms, enrich the lives of our animals, and explore our surroundings using all five senses! 3-4 year old participants must be potty-trained and able to use the bathroom independently. Drop off will be at CuriOdyssey between 8:30-9:00am. Pick-up will be at noon. Sessions run one day a week (Fridays) for 5 weeks. NOTE: Program is full.
